Recently, ZWZ successfully completed the development of single-row tapered main bearings for wind turbines on the 4.XMW platform. The typical samples of main bearings with two specifications were successfully produced and passed the acceptance by well-known domestic wind power industry companies.
As the key component of the wind turbine, currently our single-row tapered main bearings of the high-power wind turbines is entirely imported, which has become the bottleneck restricting the development of the large-megawatt wind turbines. Relevant engineers and technicians from ZWZ Wind Power Bearing Research Institute introduced that single-row tapered bearings have large carrying capacity and are the preferred structure for large-megawatt wind turbine main bearings. However, due to their large size and high precision requirements, no domestic manufacturer can produce them. During the development process, ZWZ continuously optimized the design plan to improve the bearing reliability and accuracy, and overcome many technical problems such as bearing cage design, temperature field analysis, heat treatment processing and etc., to ensure that the products meet the requirements of use.
Through this project, ZWZ completed the installation of typical samples of large-megawatt monolithic single-row tapered main bearings, output key technical achievements, and provided high-quality cost solutions for the development of the wind power industry in China.
